Mrs Wishy Washy

This week we have been reading Mrs Wishy Washy Books by Joy Cowley. We have enjoyed all of them. We talked about the 'sequence' of events, the 'problem' in the story that Mrs Wishy Washy had, and who the characters are.

Here is us reading Mrs Wishy Washy.

ASB Moneywise Visit

We had a visitor on Thursday to tell us all about money. It was pretty amazing what the children knew already.
One thing we learnt was that we should:

"Speed to our needs and wait for our wants!!"

Here we are answering lots of questions.

Harold

We had two wonderful visits with Harold and Shelley. Here we are with Harold.

Here is Shelley with Harold. Thanks you two!!

Life Education

Today we visited Shelley and Harold in the Life Education Truck. It was lovely to see the children all engaged in the lesson. We are learning about All Together. Ask your child to show you the 'moves' we did to "Work together as a team".

We also welcome two new students this week, welcome to Talia and Zachary. We are glad you are with us.

Here is a photo collage of us with Shelley in the truck.
We learnt about what is inside our bodies.

Week Five

What a fabulous week we have had.
We welcomed Stacey, we are happy he has joined us.
This was our last week for swimming because it is getting too cold.
We have been working hard on our story writing and have been learning to find words on the cards and copy them.

Today we had a good look at some nests a parent dropped into the office. We built our own. It was a great activity to do since there were a few people away.

Here we are looking for what we needed.

Here is a collage of the children making their nests.

Here are the finished products!
