ANZAC Service

Today we had a special assembly to remember the soldiers who fought at Gallipoli . Room 5 made poppies and took these to show their remembrance of the ANZACs.

During the ceremony the youngest and eldest student at Stanley Avenue lay a wreath. As it was Victorias second day of school she placed the wreath under the flag pole with Damon from Room 1.

There will be an ANZAC parade in Te Aroha were Stanley Avenue students are welcome to attend. This will be at 10.30 on Anzac day.

Puppies visit Rooms 5 & 6

Yesterday we were lucky to have Taylor bring her two puppies in to see us.

They were very little and fluffy and we were all so excited to see them. 

Yesterday was also Victorias first day at Stanley Avenue, so it was a pretty great day for her too.

Welcome Tennessa and Enzo!

We have had two recent smiley additions to Room 5! Both Enzo and Tennessa have come to us from Te Aroha Kindergarten. They are excited, because soon they have some of their friends starting in Room 5 too! We are very glad to have you with us and hope you enjoy your time at Stanley ave.

Story time with Mr Byers

Today Room 5 was lucky enough to have Mr Byers pop in and do some shared reading with us. It was great to have him visit us and talk to us about the book, it was a lot of fun.
